Fall Tablescape

October 10, 2022

In the midst of working on the new website, I did not have much time to finish my thoughts for Homeschooling a 5 Year-Old, Science and Social Studies. That post is in the works and will be published soon.

Recently, we hosted a fall church party at our home. With the impending hurricane and possible rough weather, I was not able to plan many decorations. On the day of the party, I quickly set up this simple tablescape using items I had on hand along with a few borrowed linens from my mom.

I layered painter drop-cloths on the tables with a large square of burlap draped in the center of the table. To gather the overabundant ends of the tablecloth, I created simple knots with the fabric.

A cake-plate with a doily on top created a pedestal for my pitcher with dried oats. A crock, an old textile spool, and a small copper container displayed apples from my fridge.

This setup took me about 10 minutes to throw together, but it worked perfectly and did not require tons of clean-up.

Have a wonderful week!

Website update: I do not have an exact date yet that I will be migrating hosting providers, but I will keep you posted! I am hoping to migrate in the next week or so. Also, the new website will be fully functioning but will be “under construction.” Thank you for your patience.
