Especially when my children are tiny babies, I enjoy singing to them. I often make up wee songs with their names which helps the children learn to recognize their names. One night not long after my second child had entered the world, I sang “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” to him. Another simple tune came to my mind as I started contemplating how this little one was my little star. Thus, “You’re My Little Star” was born while rocking my son to sleep.
I’ve recorded a simple medley of “Twinkle, Twinkle” and “You’re My Little Star” which I hope you will enjoy!
Now for something fun which has no relation to anything! Recently, we celebrated the birthday of my oldest child, and she wanted a bee-themed cake, a red beehive cake to be specific since red is currently her thing. Well, she didn’t get a red bee cake, but Grandma (my mom) made a fantastic beehive cake! Grandma is the resident cake artist and has made cakes ranging from logs to unicorns to wedding-style cakes. Cakes are certainly her labor of love. Enjoy the photos!
Happy Monday, friends!
